 At ASCO, TMD announced the availability of KRAS testing. TMD uses a KRAS mutation kit manufactured by DxS, which has received CE approval in Europe. Because this kit is manufactured to high standards, the KRAS assay is not subject to the degree of variability seen with "homebrew" assays.
Homebrew assays generally do not meet the same level of quality control and
TMD is accepting specimens for KRAS testing, including clinical trial analysis. Turnaround time is a maximum of 5 business days (on average).
